Website Redesign
We aim to help woman-owned businesses thrive with a website redesign that moves them forward. Enhancing a business’s online visibility, improving user experience, and increasing conversions with a modern and responsive website has the potential to revitalize their online presence and drive growth faster.
Website Audit
Another way we support women-owned businesses through this grant is by providing a website audit. We identify areas for improvement, optimize performance, and enhance user engagement on their website. All to help entrepreneurs make informed decisions to enhance their online presence and achieve their business goals.
The Midwest Tech Grant is specifically designed to support women business owners in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio to enhance their online presence through a new website design, redesign, or audit. This grant aims to help women leverage their websites to effectively scale their existing products or services.
The winners of this grant will receive services valued up $5,800:
- Business website development, redesign, or audit and optimization.
- One year of website maintenance and monitoring.
- A digital marketing bundle.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY: Grant awards are limited to ten applicants and are approved on a rolling basis. Application deadline April 30, 2024.

What is the Midwest Tech Grant?
The Midwest Tech Grant is an in-kind, matching grant for women owned businesses providing website development, redesign, and audit and optimization support. Â
Who is eligible to apply?
Businesses that are at least 51% woman owned in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.Â
What is the connectivity fee?
The connectivity fee is attached to grant participation and used for one year of maintenance and monitoring activities.Â
How long is the grant term?
The maintenance and monitoring services are for a term of one year.Â
What are maintenance and monitoring services?
Maintenance covers monthly platform updates security checks and website support if there are any code or design incidents.
Monitoring is the activity of making sure the site is experiencing at least 99% uptime without interruption.
Does the grant include website content management?
No. Each business owner is responsible for content management once the website services have been complete.Â
Do I need my own domain and hosting?
For new website development, a domain and hosting will be provided for you, if applicable for the term of the grant. For redesigns, we will make a needs determination during our initial discovery conversation.
How long does the website development and redesign take?
Most new website development and redesigns take 7-10 business days. However, awardees will receive their estimated launch date after the initial discovery conversation.
What comes in the digital marketing bundle?
Each bundle includes a .zip file with 10 social media assets and 2 reels.
